Role Responsibility:

The Art Handler will support the General Manager and Operations Supervisor in all technical requirements on a daily basis to provide high quality and timely services to ensure client satisfaction; quality care in the packing, hanging, handling and transportation of artwork and sculpture; technical supervision;

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

• • Working with the General Manager as the principal member of the technical team for fine art projects in London and the UK
  • Drive and maintain the company vehicle
  • Member of the technical team working to ensure all technical requirements are met within a reasonable time frame
  • Working on major fine art installations, handling and packing projects including exhibitions, auctions, art fairs and single shipments
  • Warehouse & Inventory management on a daily basis
  • The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the packing, wrapping, unpacking and installation of the highest quality of fine art
  • Heavy lifting may be required
  • Previous proven experience in the transportation of fine art
  • Must be used to securing and handling fragile items for safe transport.
  • Some experience in hanging artworks/installation processes

 

 

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experienced Fine Art Handler with detailed understanding of Fine Art industry – both technical and operational
• Ability to build and maintain good vendor and customer relations
• Competent fine art handling, packing and installation skills
• Must have clean driver’s licence and record a DBS check will be carried out
• Proficiency of problem solving, handling any issues and customer queries
